Product Description

A Streetcar in New Orleans.

In 1835, the streetcar lines began service in New Orleans. In the early years the cars evolved from being powered by horses and mules to steam engines. In 1893, the streetcars began operating on electricity powered through overhead cables. It is the oldest continously running street railway system in the world.
